another good day

I did my presentation today, so one thing crossed of the list.

Weights were good today, lat pull down machine was out of order, so improvised there.

I had a great cardio today, I’m starting to get used to doing shorter flat out bursts, Like I’ve said though I try not to think about cardio to much, just do it.

My little boy is sitting on my knee at present, he has a bit of a temperature, so I’ll keep an eye on that, lots of gastro going around here apparently.

Tomorrow is my day off uni, so I love Fridays, ...got some catching up to do around the house and another assignment to get on with, no weights, just cardio.

Quote

If you are not happy with what you already have, how can you expect to become happy by getting more? Instead of expecting that happiness will come to you from the outside, choose to send it out from the inside.

If you've been waiting for some thing or event or condition before choosing to be happy, there is no need to wait any longer. Go ahead, choose to be happy, and then you'll move more effectively toward whatever you desire.

Having the good and valuable things you desire is not a cause of happiness. It is an expression of happiness.

Happiness is not yours when you chase it or put conditions on it. Happiness is yours when you allow it.

Choose right now to allow it. Choose to be happy and genuinely thankful about who you are, what you're doing, what you have and where you're going.

And right away, that positive attitude on the inside will begin to build and improve the factors on the outside. Allow happiness, and allow your life to run in a positive, fulfilling direction.

no training today

I got my assignment done HURRAY! Just printing it off as I write.

Rae’s post on cardio got me thinking so hard I didn't do mine today LOL. No not really I sometimes have a whole day of in the middle of the week, and if need be make up the cardio on the weekend. My cardio in my new program doesn't require nearly as much time, but it is at a much higher intensity, and I get to eat before it.

I made an interesting meal so to speak today, I had a sugar/fat free pudding mix, so I mixed it with water, protein powder and ground oats. It was good! I don't have sweets very often actually; just had a hankering for some and that certainly fixed it :)

Tomorrow I go to the gym in between classes, I'll wait till lunch time is over though, I much prefer it when it isn't busy. I've never really been one to socialise when I'm training, I just like to get the job done. That reminds me these cute young boys, not much older than my oldest son were on the leg press yesterday and I was waiting to use it, there was 3 of them and they were chatting up a storm LOL. So I did 2 exercise out of order.... being patient ...as you do, and I'm thinking come on are you guys ever going to get off, they had actually stopped using the machine altogether, one was just sitting on it...and they were just catching up.... as you do I suppose. NOT this little duck! ....So I just politely asked when they would be done and no worries they finished up.

Made me think if they concentrated on what they were doing they would possibly get much better results, ow well we all go to the gym for different reasons I suppose, so I like to go when it's quiet to avoid such situations.

Gosh, lately I finding it hard to go to bed early, have to knock that on the head, if I get tired That’s when I tend to want/think of foods I am wanting to avoid, so on that note I will get my but to bed,

Beaut day here

Well it is lovely weather at the moment here. Autumn, I love it!! Along with Spring. I had a great leg workout today, increased in weights here and there so happy about that. Have done my cardio as well.

The pic is taken from my veggie garden yesterday, I love chilli and hot and spicy food, my favourite is probably Tabasco. I can get a bit addicted to adding it to my food.

I adapted one of Rae’s recipes, from fit for consumption, great idea, and recipes!. I didn’t have the sauce for the chicken, so I used tamari, (soy), garlic granules, Thai seasoning, cracked pepper, stevia, dash or two of tabasco and Braggs all purpose seasoning. It was yummy. When I go shopping I will get the sauce suggested in the recipe and try it with that as well. Marinated 500gms of chicken in it over night.

I really haven’t been able to get into my assignment today, I have had a lot of time available and haven’t been to productive, never mind. I’ve done most of it. I have to present it on Thursday so better get those creative juices happening.

Today when I was making my shake to take to the gym with me I realised that my blender had a small crack in it, not good.. I haven’t had it very long.. got it at xmas.. Have to get that sorted straight away, I need my blender!!

Back to my work,…great day to all!

Alis Fun Adventure

Alis Fun Adventure

Exercise for day done!

Well I am at uni at present on my lunch break, Just finished at the gym, with my new program I can do cardio after weights if I need to, well I was running late this morning.... so that is what I did, as I didn't do it 6am when I planned to.

Always good to have plan A, B and even C :)

I'm getting acustom to my new program, a different way to train for me, Last week was the first week of it, I was bloody sore from it. Getting on and off the toilet was interesting there for a day or two!

Over the weekend I spent mot of my time getting an assignment out of the way, still have to finish it though, but the bulk of it is done. I do tent to procrastinate and ponder over my assignments a bit more than I would like, something I need to address. I did manage to go out to lunch with my cousin, so that gave me a break from it.

Well have to go eat my lunch, salmon and green bean salad, I am looking forward to it, ...then on to class,

Here is a pic of my teenager daughter and my toddler son, who just happens to be very cute and cheeky, actually they both are!!!

So I thought I would list some of my short term goals here so I could easily be reminded of them :) Over the next three months before I go on a one week holiday to visit my gran in South Australia,

  1. I willLoose 10% body fat
  2. Maintain muscle mass
  3. Increase my flexibility
  4. Fit loosely into my favourite jeans
  5. Successfully complete all my uni assignments and testing.
  6. Read something motivational and inspiring to me every day.
  7. Increase my strength, not sure by how much.
  8. Meditate at least three times a week.
  9. Keep a regular update here.
  10. Keep a journal of nutrition, weight training and cardio.
  11. Take pics every 2 weeks so I can see progress.

Okay I think these goals are all achievable, I am to stick to my plan 100%
Now I must get back on with an assignment, ..ggrrrrr.
Well I have decided that I am going to keep a blog. I read a few blogs on here on occasion, like whilst i am studying for assignments on line, ect.. I will post my goals on here and hold myself hereby accountable to them.

Well I had better get on and do a bit of my assignment I am working on at present, I will post again in the very near future.
